Description

The 1975 Royal Oporto Colheita is a distinguished single-vintage tawny port produced by Real Companhia Velha, one of Portugal's oldest and most esteemed wine companies. "Colheita" refers to a tawny port made from grapes harvested in a specific year and aged in wooden casks for a minimum of seven years before bottling, allowing the wine to develop complex flavors over time.

Tasting Notes: This port presents a rich amber hue with aromatic notes of dried fruits, such as figs and raisins, complemented by hints of caramel, toffee, and subtle spice. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of sweetness and acidity, featuring flavors of nuts, honey, and a touch of vanilla, leading to a smooth, lingering finish.

Serving Suggestions: Best enjoyed slightly chilled, between 14°C and 16°C, this colheita pairs excellently with desserts like almond tart, crème brûlée, or dried fruit compotes. It also complements blue cheeses and can be savored on its own as a dessert wine.

Storage: Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, it is recommended to consume within a few weeks to maintain optimal flavor.
