Winemaking & Terroir
This Port is made exclusively from grapes grown in Quinta do Noval, Vale de Mendiz, in the heart of the Douro Valley, using a traditional multivarietal field blend. Key grape varieties include Touriga Nacional, Sousão, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Francesa, among others, each contributing unique aromas, flavors, and structure. The grapes are foot-trodden in stone lagares, an artisanal method that ensures gentle yet thorough extraction of color, tannins, and flavors, enhancing the wine’s complexity and balance.
This Tawny Port is a blend of wines with an average age of 50 years, matured exclusively in seasoned oak casks (640L), which impart oxidative depth and refinement while concentrating the wine’s flavors.
