25 Jul, 2024 – Deep, fruit-forward and flavorful, this has compelling structure and lots of licorice. Showing aromas of figs, dark chocolate and hints of violets, it’s compact, solid and balanced overall with integrated tannins. Better in 2024

Old vines field blend. References to the quinta date back to 1759.
Black core with black-cherry smudgy rim. Spice and black cherry on the nose and a touch of elderberry in its wild, slightly herbal darkness. For a young port, this is surprisingly juicy and succulent on the palate. Lots of dark-red fruit and a lovely freshness to counteract the alcohol. Sweet and lively and more approachable than you might expect for a baby vintage port. (JH) Jancis Robinson.com
