Description
Tasting Notes Cool, light-amber colour, this unique white “tawny” port derives from the traditional white grapes of the Porto e Douro region. Starting with aromas of a Pear Clafoutis and burnt sugar, this elegant port delivers luscious flavours of Japanese pear-apple, with accents of hazelnut, nutmeg and orange zest. The lingering grapefruit finish provides the perfect balance for the sweetness. 18 pts Revista de Vinhos.

Amber with caramelised roasted nuts, marmalade, salty oyster tang, lovely depth, length and finish. Really balanced and luscious.
***17.5/20 (TJ) - JancisRobinson.com***
Deep amber, with an olive rim and some orange tints. Smoky, spicy, hazelnut skin and gently cooked fruit, with weight and complexity. Intense, but with freshness to balance the sweetness. Very complex and intense, toasted hazelnut and cooked citrus, with spice and wood tones. Spicy, dark chocolate finish, with just a touch of alcohol. (TJ)
