  • Description

Casa Burmester Reserva Red is a premium red wine from the Douro Valley, a region famous for its port wine production, although Burmester also produces quality table wines.

    Tasting notes
Rich and full-bodied, with flavours of blackberries and plums complemented by subtle notes of vanilla, spice, and a touch of floral tones. Well structured palate with ripe red berries, accompanied by hints of dark chocolate, tobacco, and a touch of oak. There’s a nice balance between acidity and tannins, giving it a rounded mouthfeel and a persistent, long finish.

    Serving and Food Pairing
Serve at 16-18 Celsius and pair with red meats, hearty stews, grilled vegetables, and aged cheeses. It can also be enjoyed on its own for a more contemplative drinking experience.

Burmester is one of the oldest and most respected Port houses in Portugal, founded in 1750 by Henry Burmester and John Nash in the city of Porto. Known for its traditional methods, Burmester produces a wide range of Ports, including Vintage, Late Bottled Vintage (LBV), Tawny, and White Ports. In addition to Ports, Burmester also creates still wines, particularly in the Douro DOC, with whites and reds gaining recognition for their quality.
