Description

The 1975 Salice Salentino Leone de Castris - Riserva is a beautifully aged expression of this classic Puglian red, crafted primarily from the Negroamaro grape. Over the years, it has developed a rich, complex profile with aromas of dried dark fruits, such as black cherries and plums, alongside earthy notes of tobacco, leather, and subtle spice. The tannins, once robust, have softened, creating a smooth, elegant texture, while the acidity remains vibrant, providing balance and freshness. This Riserva has aged gracefully, showing the depth and potential of Salice Salentino.
