  • Description

The 1989 Ryst-Dupeyron Armagnac is not just a bottle of brandy; it's a piece of history, a symbol of quality, and a luxurious gift that will be cherished and remembered. Its rich, complex flavour profile and elegant presentation make it a standout choice for any occasion.

    Tasting Notes
Deep amber colour indicating long aging in oak barrels. Prominent aromas and flavours of prunes, apricots, and figs alongside sweet and inviting hints of vanilla, toffee, and caramel, a result of the interaction between the spirit and the oak. Subtle undertones of cinnamon, nutmeg and cedar and rancio, a characteristic scent in well-aged Armagnac, giving it a nutty, almost earthy quality. A lengthy, smooth finish that lingers on the palate intermingles with gentle warmth that spreads pleasantly leading to evolving notes of spice, oak, and a hint of leather or tobacco in the very end.

    Serving & Food Pairing
Armagnac is traditionally enjoyed neat, allowing you to fully appreciate its complexity. However, it pairs well with dark chocolate, fine cheeses, or a quality cigar to complement its complex profile.

Maison Ryst-Dupeyron, a prestigious Armagnac house in Gascony, France, has a rich history dating back to 1832. After a devastating fire destroyed their cellars in 1904, they discovered that barrels hidden in nearby vineyards had exceptional qualities. This led to the creation of "Armagnac de terroir," or "Armagnac of the land," which showcases the family's resilience and commitment to producing exceptional Armagnac.

    How to store your Armagnac
Store the bottle upright to minimize contact between the spirit and the cork. This reduces the risk of the cork deteriorating. Keep the bottle in a cool, dark place, ideally between 15-20°C and avoid temperature fluctuations. Store the bottle away from direct sunlight and artificial light.
