Riojas have historically been classified by how long they are aged before the bottles are released. Crianza is the youngest of the aged Riojas. By law, crianzas must spend at least one year in oak barrels and cannot be sold until two years after the harvest, though in fact some wineries hold on to their bottles longer. No other category of Spanish red wine is as consistently satisfying and as good a value as Rioja crianza.

We love the elegant style, impeccable balance and delicious plum, cherry and cedar flavours of a Rioja. This wine will accompany firm cheese, chops and dried aged meats perfectly.
