Founded in 1889 the Royal Wine Company of Northern Portugal , known in the jargon of the people as the " Royal Winery " generates at its creation, a huge confusion between the two companies, the New Royal and the Old Royal Company of Port Wine . And it is through the voice of the people and the commercial jargon that Real Pombalina Company founded in 1756 begun to be known as " Real Companhia Velha " and use that name as a trademark . The Real Winery Centennial created under the auspices of the Marquis of Pombal became over the years a purely equity company being acquired by the recognized Fladgate Partnership , which owns major wine brands of Porto such as Taylor's .
