Tasting Notes:
Orange-red in colour with a touch of green. A well-rounded, generous aroma with balance and a hint of wine. Fruit aromas include orange, apricot and plum. Vanilla and old Port wine casks make up its woody aromas. This is a fruity tawny variety. In the mouth, one can still taste the fresh fruit surrounded by the ageing in wood. A good structure and perfect balance between fruit and alcohol.
Serving & Food Pairing:
Tawny Ports are ready-to drink and do not require decanting. Best enjoyed slightly chilled at 12-13ºC they will work wonders if pairing with treacle tart, crème brulee or nut based desserts, like hazelnut praline.

“Quite gripping, it is beautifully done and rather impressive, while always remaining graceful and impeccably balanced.”

This quinta, in the upper reaches of the Douro Valley is spectacularly situated near the prehistoric rock paintings of Foz Coa. The Port, still poised between fruit and oak aging shows prunes, black plums and fine acidity, with a bite of spirit. It is easily ready to drink. Roger Voss
