  • Description

The longer maturation in oak casks gives this 2009 Palmer Colheita Port a complex bouquet of fruity aromas, mild flavour and is very spicy and round.

Has an aromatic nose, featuring notes of dried fruits such as figs, raisins, and apricots, complemented by toasted nuts, caramel, and a hint of spice. It has flavours of dried fruits, honey, toffee, and subtle vanilla. The oak aging imparts a gentle spiciness and a hint of smokiness. It has a long, rich, and layered finish, with a lingering finish that showcases the wine's maturity and complexity.

This port is best served slightly chilled, around 12-16°C (54-61°F). Use a Port glass or a small wine glass to concentrate the aromas and enhance the tasting experience. It is ideal to be served with traditional cakes, ice creams and chocolates.

Colheita Port should be stored in a cool and dry place, sheltered from light and temperature fluctuations, and the bottle should remain in an upright position. If stored correctly, Colheita Ports will keep for decades in the bottle. Over time, it is natural that a little sediment will form at the bottom of a bottle of colheita Port wine. Once opened colheita Port should be stored in a fridge and should be consumed within 3 months.
