Rosé port
Salmon in colour the Messias Rose Port has a very inviting nose with aromas of wild strawberry and watermelon, fresh and easy. Easy and light on the palate, but with that classic Porto velvety texture. This Port is fun to drink and has serious, pure aromas of young red fruits and tropical fruits. Perfect for hot summer days or cocktails.
White Sweet port
This sweet white port from Messias has a lovely golden colour in the glass and a slight citrus aroma with a hint of wood. Fine and well balanced it is a superb after dinner drink, aperitif or, like they do in Portugal, mix in equal parts to tonic and garnish with a slice of lemon - a refreshing change to G&T.
Special Reserve Tawny
A higher-quality version of their standard Tawny Port, typically aged longer and offering greater complexity and depth. Deep amber to mahogany colour, reflecting extended aging. Rich and complex aroma, with pronounced notes of dried figs, raisins, almonds and walnuts, caramel, and hints of spice and vanilla. It shows a smooth and well-rounded mouthfeel, featuring a harmonious blend of dried fruits, nuts, caramel, and spice. It has a long, elegant finish with a hint of sweetness.
Ruby Port
A remarkable medley of ripe red and black berry flavours, with ripe cherries, plums, and dates, exhibiting some concentration and depth. Fresh-faced and youthful, the Messias Ruby Port delivers lip-smacking sweetness with subtle tannin.
2017 Late Bottled Vintage
Deep ruby colour, with notes of ripe dark fruits like blackberries, plums, and cherries, with hints of spice, chocolate, and subtle oak. Full-bodied with a well-balanced sweetness, the palate is rich with flavours of dark berries, black cherries, and some spicy undertones. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, leading to a long, smooth finish.
