The 2009 Messias Quinta do Cachão Vintage Port is a high-quality vintage Port produced by Caves Messias, particularly from their Quinta do Cachão estate. The 2009 vintage is known for its exceptional quality due to favourable weather conditions that year. Although this vintage port is ready to drink now, it can further reward those who will cellar it for the next 15 years+. Drink now-2040+.

Tasting Notes:
Deep, dark ruby, almost opaque, indicating its richness and concentration. Intense and complex aroma, with notes of ripe dark fruits such as blackberries, plums, and blackcurrants, alongside hints of chocolate, cocoa, spice, and floral undertones. Full-bodied and powerful flavour with well-structured tannins. The flavours mirror the aromas with a rich palate of dark fruits, chocolate, and spice. The finish is long and persistent.

Serving and Food pairing
When mature this port will need to be decanted to remove the sediment and allow the air to express and develop its aromas and flavours. Serve at room temperature on its own or with steak and blue cheese sauce or vintage mature blue cheeses such as stilton Cashel Blue, Roquefort, Gorgonzola and Saint Augur Blue. Vintage port is also good with chocolate - a flattering accompaniment to top quality hand-made chocolates and artisan chocolate bars.
