Description
In the timeless embrace of Portugal's sun-kissed valleys, where the Douro River carves its ancient path, there is a liquid treasure aged with decades of wisdom. The Messias 20-Year-Old Tawny Port, a work of patience and artistry, reveals golden secrets with each pour, like a sunset distilled into a glass.
Tasting Notes:
Deep amber colour and golden-brown hue, indicating its long aging process and oak barrels' oxidative effects. The nose is rich and layered, with dried fruits, caramel, toffee, vanilla, and spice. On the palate, it is smooth, velvety, and well-balanced. It showcases flavours of dried fruits, nuts, caramel, and a hint of chocolate, with a complex interplay of sweetness and acidity. The extended aging gives it a rich texture and a long, elegant finish.
Serving & Food Pairing
Tawny Ports are ready-to drink and do not require decanting. Best enjoyed slightly chilled at 12-13ºC they will work wonders if pairing with treacle tart, crème brulee or nut based desserts, like hazelnut praline.

Reviews
*** 95 Points Decanter Magazine ***
Very pale amber/tawny/orange colour. Fine and delicate aromas of hazelnuts and candied citrus. Quince marmalade character, delicate in style, with finesse and poise. Seemingly quite dry in style towards the finish (not as obviously rich as some here), and supremely refined. 18.5pts/20 (95/100pts)
