Messias 10 year old white Port
A fairly rare style of port that has been aged for a minimum of ten years in oak barrels, allowing it to develop a complex array of flavors and aromas. While white ports are less common than their red counterparts, they offer a captivating alternative with their distinctive flavour profile and versatility.

    Tasting notes:
In the glass, this aged white port typically exhibits a golden or amber hue, reflecting its extended period of maturation. On the nose, expect a rich and aromatic bouquet characterized by notes of dried fruits such as apricot, peach, and figs, along with hints of honey, caramel, and spices. The prolonged ageing process adds depth and complexity to the aroma profile. Luscious and velvety texture on the palate, with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and toffee intermingling seamlessly. There is a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, leading to a long and satisfying finish.

    Serving & Food Pairing:
White Ports are ready to drink and do not require decanting. Best enjoyed chilled at 12-13ºC on its own as an aperitif, or paired with rich starters such as mushroom risotto. With a freshness beyond age, White Port is also ideal with crème brulee or a spicy apple crumble.

    *** 90 Points - Mark Squires Wine Advocate ***
The NV 10 Year Old White Port is a blend of 40% Malvasia Fina, 30% Rabigato, 15% Viosinho and 15% Códega do Larinho. It comes in with 65 grams per liter of residual sugar. This is a stern and dry-ish White Port, finishing with tension and power, grabbing the tongue and proving to be very serious. It ends with toast and baked pear nuances on the gripping finish. This is impressive as a ten-year-old White, very focused and very precise. It comes with a bar-top cork and was bottled in 2016. MS July 2017

Dry golden white colour. On the nose stand out vanilla and spice notes, allied to a floral touch. The palate confirms all these aromas, combining a subtle wood and a good acidity confer unique characteristics to this wine, which has a long and pleasant aftertaste. *Robert Parker's Wine Advocate*
