"Fully mature and very pleasant - a very enjoyable wine. It had such a classic left-bank Bordeaux nose, with lots of damp leaf and mossy earth and a topping of tobacco notes over sweet cassis and black cherry aromas. The palate did not have the greatest depth and was perhaps on the simple side with its cassis notes seasoned with spice and a toss of earthiness at the finish, but it had mellowed into a lovely, soft, yummy mouthful, with great balance and a still a nice chew at the back-end.
