1959 was an incredible vintage in champagne. The weather was ideal throughout the year. The grapes reached an exceptional degree of ripeness. The harvest began on September 10th. under conditions rarely enjoyed in the Champagne region. Everything combined to make the year a quintessential vintage. The champagne continues to deliver its promise and offers even more.

Tasting notes

Time has added a golden hue to this champagne's amber colour.

On the nose, there is the inimitable aromatic complexity of wines that have exceeded twenty years of ageing: notes of oriental tobacco, honey, liquorice and figs, in addition to coffee and chocolate. The tasting evokes exotic images and distant destinations. The ripeness of the grapes radiates in a lighthearted opulence. The first impression of warmth, ampleness and relative sweetness intoduces a powerful structure. On the palate, the senation is one of exceptionally long, fat and fruity roundness. The fresh finish is remarkable.
