Château Lascombes 2001 displays wonderful deep, intense color. Aromas of red berry fruit combine well with elegant oak. An explosive attack on the palate, with power, concentration, richness and roundness, is followed by a delicious mingling of fruit, spice and oak. The finish is long and enticing with a hint of chocolate. This vintage is seductive and elegant, well-worthy of its appellation, and magnificent for laying down.
