Description

The 1978 Kirwan has a fully mature bouquet, animally and perhaps with a bit of leather in there, and cured meats. Yet there are vestiges of fruit tucked behind there and it is very attractive. The palate is medium-bodied, nicely balanced especially within the context of an austere vintage. This is a lovely old Kirwan that is a pure pleasure to drink
