Tasting Notes
A mature mahogany core with tawny rim. It has a rather sweet, I am guessing chaptalized nose which turn very toffee-ish with 10 minutes in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied, moderate tannins, rather foursquare and conservative but quite mellow and refined on the finish. Neil Martin Wine Journal - Tasted 2008
Serving and food pairing
Decanting is recommended to separate the wine from any sediment that has developed over the years and to allow the wine to breathe and open up.
Serve at around 60-65°F (15-18°C) to best appreciate its complex flavors and aromas. This mature Bordeaux pairs well with classic dishes such as roast lamb, beef tenderloin, or duck breast. It also complements aged cheeses and earthy mushroom dishes.
Condition
Good levels - slightly discoloured labels
