    The 1987 Bandol Rouge from Caves de la Roque is a red wine from the Provence region of France, specifically the Bandol appellation. Bandol wines are renowned for their robust and age-worthy reds, primarily crafted from the Mourvèdre grape, often blended with Grenache and Cinsault.

    Tasting Profile:
    Expect garnet colour with aromas of dark berries, earthy undertones, leather, and subtle spice. On the palate it should be full-bodied with firm tannins, flavours of black fruits, and a lingering finish.

    There are three different labels of this wine listed on our website, each featuring paintings of French artist Paul Gauguin. This one here"Deux Tahitiennes" ("Two Tahitian Women") is an iconic painting from 1899, created during his second stay in Tahiti. This work features two Tahitian women with bare torsos, one holding a tray of red flowers or fruits, possibly mango blossoms. The painting is renowned for its vibrant portrayal of Tahitian culture.

    Producer Information: Moulin de la Roque, established in 1950, is a cooperative of winemaking families dedicated to producing high-quality Bandol and Côtes-de-Provence wines. They emphasize traditional methods combined with modern techniques to ensure the excellence of their wines.
