Description
The Burmester Quinta do Arnozelo Vintage 2022 was produced in the emblematic Quinta do Arnozelo, in the Upper Douro, and shows a harmonious and fragrant character, conferred by the grape varieties Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional.
Tasting Notes
Deep purple colour. It fully expresses the terroir of Quinta do Arnozelo, with remarkably floral aromas, such as orange blossom, wrapped in notes of ripe berries, like black and redcurrant. On the palate, it is silky and sleek, showing vigour in its polished and intense tannins, against a background of ripe fruit. It finishes long and harmonious, very much in the style of Burmester's Vintages. Drink from 2028-2055+
Serving and Food pairing
Vintage Ports are best decanted and served slightly below modern room temperature: 16° to 18° C. Pair it with chocolate-rich desserts – such as chocolate fondant with redcurrant coulis or dark chocolate mousse. Goes very well with an intense-flavoured cheeses, like Queijo da Serra, or blue cheeses (Stilton, Roquefort).
2022 Harvest Report
The 2021-2022 viticultural year was hot and dry throughout, from winter to summer. Given this year's harvesting short ripening period, attention to detail in each plot and close monitoring of the grapes' maturation were key factors in achieving wines with great ageing potential and excellent quality. At the point of harvesting, the red wines were showing clean aromas with bright and deep colours.

How to store your Vintage Port
Vintage Port, like all fine wines, prefers to remain undisturbed, lying on its side in a dark and at least slightly humid place at a stable temperature of between 10°C and 14°C to mature properly.
