  • Description

Burmester have declared a 2021 Quinta Do Arnozelo Vintage Port made from their best grapes from the harvest. In a vintage that was affected by a pandemic and rainfall during harvest, the IWC award winning wine maker Carlos Alves, has worked his magic to produce a wine that has amazing structure, power and intensity yet has the finesse and elegance typical of the vintage.

    Tasting Notes
Deep intense ruby with purplish hue. Expressive aromatic profile featuring ripe dark fruits like blackberries, plums, and cherries, with hints of spice, chocolate, and floral notes such as violet. Rich and warming on the palate with concentrated fruit flavours, with a balance between sweetness and acidity. Tannins tend to be firm yet refined, providing structure and potential for long-term aging. Long and powerful finish with lingering fruit and subtle spice. Drink from 2028-2055+.

    Serving and Food pairing
Vintage Ports are best decanted and served slightly below modern room temperature: 16° to 18° C. Pair it with chocolate-rich desserts – such as chocolate fondant with redcurrant coulis or dark chocolate mousse. Goes very well with an intense-flavoured cheeses, like Queijo da Serra, or blue cheeses (Stilton, Roquefort).
