  • Description

Discover the balanced elegance of Blandy’s 10 Year Old Bual Madeira – a medium-rich fortified wine that captivates the senses.

    Tasting Notes:
Made from 100% Bual grapes and matured for 10 years in seasoned American oak casks via the Canteiro system, this Madeira showcases a clear amber color with golden highlights. The bouquet reveals complex aromas of dried fruits such as figs and prunes, intertwined with notes of almonds, toffee, and vanilla spice. On the palate, it is medium-sweet and exceptionally smooth, offering a superb balance of coffee and fruit flavors, underpinned by a clean, sharp acidity and a persistent aftertaste.

Serving Tips & Storage Blandy's 10 year old Sercial is fined and does not require decanting. Serve chilled. Pairs wonderfully with desserts like crème brûlée, fruit tarts, or rich chocolate puddings. Also complements savory dishes such as pâté, cured meats, and aged cheeses. Also delightful when sipped on its own as a digestif. It has been bottled when ready for drinking and will keep for several months after opening.

    Winemaking:
This wine is a blend of Madeira wines with an average age of 10 years in seasoned oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system. After the aging process, the wine is fined before bottling.

    Cellarage
This wine should be stored upright in a dark room with constant temperature, ideally no higher than 16ºC.

Blandy's Madeira has been synonymous with quality Madeira wine for over 200 years. The Blandy's are unique in being the only family of all the original founders of the Madeira wine trade to still own and manage their own original wine company. The family has played a leading role in the development of Madeira wine throughout its long history and members of the family continue to live on Madeira, maintaining a tradition that goes back to 1811.
