Description
The Vietti Barolo Ravera from the excellent 2020 vintage is a unique expression of Nebbiolo from the renowned Ravera vineyard in Novello, Piedmont. This vineyard, situated at approximately 400 meters above sea level, boasts limestone and clay-rich soils, with some vines dating back to 1935.
Tasting Notes:
The wine presents a deep garnet-red hue. The nose reveals complex floral notes, red fruit, chalk, and white pepper. On the palate, it is fine, with hints of ripe red berries, taut and compact tannins, and vibrant acidity, leading to a refined and everlasting finish.
Serving & Food Pairing:
For optimal enjoyment, it's recommended to decant the wine a few hours before serving. This Barolo pairs exceptionally well with red meats, game dishes, and aged cheeses. While approachable upon release, it will develop greater complexity with extended cellaring.
