Description

The 1964 vintage is one of the most esteemed years for Barolo, known for producing wines of outstanding quality and longevity. Barolo is known as the 'king of wines' and is made from the Nebbiolo grape. Expect it to exhibit complex tertiary aromas and flavours, such as dried fruits, leather, tobacco, truffle, and earthy undertones. The tannins are likely to be well-integrated, resulting in a smooth and refined palate. Don't underestimate it and certainly serve it with food to show at it's best. Nebbiolo has naturally high tannins and acidity, so it will take on full-flavoured, rich foods with no problem at all.
